About Us..."Merokee Enterprises" and Me!: Hello! My name is Bill. Most of my friends call me Mr. Bill. Around the Internet I am known as Mr. Merokee. I am the creator of MEROKEE DOT COM. I consider myself an "average Joe." I do fight a battle since 1978 with what is now known as Fibromyalgia.

MEROKEE ENTERPRISES was first conceived in the early 1970's. It began as Merokee Mail Sales, a home mail order business. Due to financial and family constraints it had a short life, but the desire to have a home based business never faded.

Then came the PC and Internet Marketing, and MEROKEE was reborn.

We have looked into many "Home Business Opportunities" and "Work From Home" offers advertised to the public on the Internet. To our dismay, most of them are worthless. We found many to be outdated, unproven, speculative, or not having a near reasonable profit potential. Many are just outright fraudulent.

The two most obvious frauds are "envelope stuffing" and "home assembly". Research tells us that most home assembly organizations generally only employ local workers, and at substandard wages to boot. Most companies that offer bonafide home employment opportunities look for computer skilled, professional people.

."Internet Scams", "Internet Fraud" and "Get Rich Quick Schemes" abound both in mail order and on the Internet. We may be not quite a Guru, but.....We do believe that through our research and our persistence that we can offer educated opinions and recommendations on ideas and programs that have merit and help others recognize and avoid the pitfalls of Internet marketing fraud.

In the same light we have gone to considerable length to bring to you information on Internet resources available to anyone giving thought to building their own Web site or Internet business. Many of these resources can be found for free on the World Wide Web.

I have heard comments from our readers from time to time, that we have put together a lot of free information and materials, that most other infopreneurs would readily charge money for. Thank you for your comments, but we do not have any intentions of changing our format. We will add the content, so you may read and form your own educated opinions, to make your choices from.
